Artwork created for a pop-up exhibition that took place in Berlin and was organised by REWE, one of Germany’s biggest supermarket chains.

The event called #umdenkbar gallery was called to life to celebrate an important step in the company’s quest towards greater sustainability: the discontinuation of the printed flyer.

Four artists were asked to produce artworks depicting some of the future savings in terms of water, wood, carbon dioxide emissions and energy achieved as a result of this action.

My artwork “Aufbruch/Umbral” talks about the savings of more than 73,000 tons of paper and how this is an important step towards a better future. The chosen technique of this work is a digital trichromy.
